Trained workers with a background in logistics are in demand
School leavers and those new to the industry receive a very sound education in the logistics sector with the two to four-year vocational training courses in the dual system. Due to the high order levels of companies offering logistics services, the chances of employment after successfully passing the examinations are very good.
In Baden-Württemberg, almost 6000 people were trained in these occupations in 2006. Due to the continuous increase in the market share of the logistics sector, the number of trainees increased significantly between 2005 and 2006. Over 700 more trainees were employed in Baden-Württemberg alone.

A tried and tested educational structure
For decades, Baden-Württemberg has had an educational structure which has proven to be effective. Based on federal regulations, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry define the course and examination content together with the vocational schools and the relevant state ministries and conduct the final examinations.
