The SCI Logistics Barometer is a visual image ranking. It is based on an annual survey of over 200 logistics service providers throughout Germany.

In summer 2010, the Stuttgart region made it to third place in the top logistics regions. So far the region has been affected by the automobil crisis, but due to numerous activities by logistics service providers the region could take profit of the boom in 2010. The excellent infrastructure and economic power of the Mannheim/Ludwigshafen region are the reasons for their successful 4th place. With Ulm/Westschwaben region there are again three regions of Baden-Württemberg ranked among the top logistics regions of germany.

In summer 2009, the Mannheim/Ludwigshafen region made it to second place in the top logistics regions. The excellent infrastructure and the economic power of the Rhein-Neckar region are the reason for this success. With Ulm/Westschwaben region and Stuttgart region are three regions of Baden-Württemberg ranked among the top logistics regions of germany.

In summer 2008, the Mannheim/Ludwigshafen region made it to 4th place in the top 10. The Stuttgart region reached 7th place in the ranking and the Ulm/Westschwaben region was able to successfully defend its 8th place ranking from 2007. In 2008, three regions of Baden-Württemberg were able to establish themselves within the top ten places.

In summer 2007, two regions of Baden-Württemberg were able to establish themselves within the top ten places. The Stuttgart region was ranked fifth, significantly ahead of renowned logistics regions such as Frankfurt/Main and Cologne/Bonn. In addition, the eighth place ranking of the Ulm/Westschwaben region must undoubtedly be viewed as a positive result for Baden-Württemberg.
